What drew you to fashion?
I always had an interest in fashion. I used to buy clothes when I was younger, wear them a few times and then I’d take them to school and sell them second-hand to my friends. Fashion has always been a part of my life.
What are your top style tips?
Start with a good shirt – something like a nice Oxford that you can dress up or down. Add a classic pair of jeans. They’re universal in terms of how you can wear them. Next is a good pair of shoes. A nice pair of trainers can make all the difference to an outfit. Lastly, from a grooming perspective, if you have facial hair, keep it nicely trimmed.
Do you have a favourite brand in store this season?
Barbour, for me, is a brand that has evolved enormously. They’ve gone from a stereotypical country brand to producing some wonderful collaborations with high-end companies. Their evolution is phenomenal.
What does the men’s styling service at Jarrolds offer?
It’s very organic. Men can simply walk in and have an appointment with one of our consultants. The sessions usually last an hour and there is absolutely no obligation to buy. The sessions are all about encouraging men to open up and try new things.
