The Retreat Spa Blogger Event
In June we invited three local bloggers: Laura from ‘Laura Ellen Wright’, Laura from ‘Laura Jane Style’ and Shelley from ‘The Shelley Diaries’ to come and visit us at our in-house spa - The Retreat.
Each blogger was given a selection of treatments which included a luxury gel manicure at our Nailspa, and an express pedicure and a full pampering body scrub downstairs in The Retreat.
With lots of stunning colours to choose from in the Nailspa, each blogger found a beautiful summer shade for their manicure. You can see what they went for below:
Laura Jane Style wears: OPI Double Scoop Pink*/ OPI Hello Kitty - Kitty White* / OPI Let's be Friends* (Manicure)
Laura Ellen Wright wears: OPI Alice in Wonderland (Having a big head day*) (Pedicure) / OPI In the Clouds* (Manicure)
The Shelley Diaries wears: OPI Let’s be Friends* (Manicure)/ OPI Mad For Madness Sake* (Pedicure)
After their manicures, it was time to make their way down to our fabulous spa ‘The Retreat’ for their pampering body scrubs and pedicures.
Each blogger sat down with a therapist for their express pedicure, again with a lovely array of colours to choose from. Shelley from 'The Shelley Diaries' chose a vibrant pink colour called 'OPI Mad For Madness Sake*' and Laura from 'Laura Ellen Wright' picked a showstopping red OPI 'Having a bad head day*.'
“I chose the OPI x Alice in Wonderland polish* in the shade ‘Mad For Madness Sake*’ – which has to be one of the best names! It is a stunning bright pink, that just screams summer. My express pedicure was wonderful, theres something about having your toes painted a bright colour that makes you feel pulled together and ready to take on the world!” – The Shelly Diaries
With calming lighting, aromatherapy oils and soothing background music, our therapists applied a luxurious Rituals body scrub and then a nourishing almond oil to moisturise the skin.
