The Trimingham hat is small yet perfectly formed and gives a nod to the charming village on the Norfolk coast from which it takes its name.
Made of high-grade wool felt it is formed into a simple, gently curving, circular shape. Trimmed with three hand cut felt bows, these bring form and dynamics to this oh-so-flattering design. This piece is sure to be a perennial favourite when temperatures drop and something cosy yet stylish is required. Wear The Trimingham with a long-length duster coat, silk foulard and smart boots for a classic, elegant, look.
This hat is moulded and stitched entirely by hand at the Goodrum & Merryweather studio in the heart of Norwich. It is fully wired around its bottom edge and, this particular piece, is fitted to an average sized head of approximately 22 inches (circumference), with some allowance.
A stretchy (black) hat elastic, which sits under the hairline to the back of the head, is added for extra security. This allows the wearer to style the hat at rakish angles or tip it to either side of the head, depending on preference and mood. A versatile and becoming piece. Unlined.
