One of our favourites, a perfect whisky to have at hand as we enter Summer. There is something oddly comforting when we see a bottling re-released each year. It is a sense of continuity and that feeling that we can all once again stock up on a favourite.
A complex nose with citrus, baked apples and hints of almonds give way to a taste that is fruity with some lovely oak overtones; all ending with a rich, oily and slightly dry finish.
The English Distillery is England’s oldest registered whisky distillery, situated in the beautiful country of Norfolk. Founded by the Nelstrop family in 2006, the distillery is still independent and creates multi award-winning whisky from honest, local ingredients.
