The ultimate insider's guide to Prague, a part of the international 111 Places/111 Shops series.
Prague is a city of many meanings. Prague means the collection of countless art treasures from every epoch. Prague means the Velvet Revolution and the Prague Spring. Prague means cultural heroes like the one-eyed Jan Zizka, and Vaclav Havel. By the way, did you know that once there was a bed behind bars in the apartment of a former president? Yet Prague is much more than its legends and stories. Everybody who has been to Prague has been drawn in by its magical spell. This book shows you a different side to this wonderful city, guiding you around 111 hidden corners and nooks. The authors will tell you amazing stories that will make you an insider, so that you can chat with locals later over a glass of Gambrinus. Look behind the facade of Prague - and you'll find talent and myth in this, the city of love.
