We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join our fabulous People team. This is a full-time position working 5 days per week, reporting to the People & Culture Manager; The position is based in our main store on London Street in Norwich and due to the nature of the work this is an office-based position.
As a generalist you will provide a wide range of HR expertise to our colleagues
The role will include:
- Acting as first point of contact for managers, employees and other HR team members.
- Supporting and advising managers with best practice recruitment and selection.
- Leading employee case work and supporting managers with employee relations matters, including absence, capability, grievance and disciplinary.
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation.
- Involvement with the wider People team to support the delivery of onboarding, L&D and wellbeing initiatives.
- General HR admin as needed.
We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working within the people profession and strives to support a people centric culture.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working in a similar role.
- Be qualified up to Level 5 CIPD or have equivalent experience.
- Have strong HR / Employment law knowledge.
- Proactively keep up to date with employment law developments and take every opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills.
- Have an interest in learning about and supporting the wider business.
- Have a full clean driving licence to visit our branches.
- Be adaptable to challenges that vary from day to day in a busy team.
