We are looking for people with bundles of character and energy to join our fabulous Book and Childrens’ Toy Departments, located on the third floor of our Department Store! With a passion for books, toys, customer service and an enthusiastic personality, your job will be to create memories for everyone who visits our store in the run up to Christmas.

We are looking for colleagues on a full or part-time basis, which will include weekend working. weekends.

What we need from you

To be a Seasonal Sales Assistant at Jarrolds you must be:

• Reliable and flexible
• Approachable and confident to deliver excellent customer service
• Physically fit and able to move stock around the store, working with deliveries and pallets on your own and as a team

The role will be busy and varied – if you’re not serving customers at the till, you will be putting away stock, dealing with customer orders or talking to the excited children on the shop floor, helping them make their Christmas lists - with help from their family!

The ideal candidate

While consulting with our customers on a range of products across books or childrens’ toys, you’ll take real pride in delivering a personalised and professional service. You’ll have genuine passion for books, or childrens’ toys inside and out with a natural curiosity to discover and explore more about our brands we stock to share with others. Bringing your personality to the service experience you will always look to genuinely connect with your customers while thinking creatively to bring their extraordinary shopping experience to life. As well as having the ability to work well as part of a team, you’ll be willing to embrace opportunities to build your impeccable sales skills in order to offer quality and reassurance to all of our customers.
