On Wednesday 22nd March over 250 guests joined us at the Jarrold Spring Literary Lunch to hear acclaimed novelist Joanna Trollope, brilliant new thriller writer Mick Herron and locally-based historian Simon Thurley, all of whom spoke entertainingly before signing copies of their new books for long queues of guests.
The event was held as usual at the Top of the Terrace restaurant at Norwich City Football Club, with predictably delicious food from Delia Smith’s Canary Catering team. Video screens were available so diners at the far ends of the room still had a great view of the speakers. After the formal part of the lunch had finished, diners had the opportunity to buy books and to meet and talk with the three authors, while getting their copies signed and dedicated.
We have been very pleased with the responce from our guests, with a number of people taking the trouble to say on the day, or write afterwards to tell us what a good time they’d had.
Book's spoken about on the day:
Joanna Trollope - City of Friends
Mick Herron - Spook Street
Simon Thurley - Houses of Power
The next Jarrold literary lunch will be in Autumn 2017. We look forward to seeing you there.
