Jarrold loves...Royal Norfolk Show 2017
From fashion and beauty, to fun, games and book signings, we had a ball at this year's Royal Norfolk Show - despite the weather!
Despite it being brollies and boots weather, the style stakes were high at this year’s Royal Norfolk Show, as not only did we have 11 fashion shows across the two days, we also showed you how to perfect your summer look, get fit and eat healthier.
Fashion on the catwalk showcased our summer fashion for men and women. From trendy T shirts and denim to black tie suiting and elegant dresses, the show is a collaboration between us, PSE Norwich, Ekiko Model Management and EDP Norfolk magazine, a strong partnership that has been in place since we began the fashion shows at the Royal Norfolk Show four years ago. This year the show was kindly supported by Birketts.
While PSE worked on the staging and the production and Ekiko sourced the models and created the choreography, our instore stylists came up with the summer looks that were on the catwalk. Each set on the catwalk had a theme, from holiday style to black tie, each aimed to give you a flavour of the trends that will see you through summer and all the fashion is available from our womenswear and menswear departments right now.
Our team from Aveda styled the model’s hair for the catwalk and demonstrated how to get healthy looking summer hair, while makeup artists from our Bobbi Brown counter were joined by Bobbi Brown Pro Artist Lampros Faslis to create summer makeup looks on the catwalk, with step-by-step workshops on how you can create the looks for yourself.
Over at the Pilch tent, we had fun and games with Helix Power Spin Play sets and attempted to improve our fitness levels with demonstrations with the latest Tom Tom fitness watches. Robert James was also there for both days demonstrating how to make a cricket bat - even our sports buyer Jim got in on the action! All these items are now available at Pilch.
And over at the Grow It, Cook It, Eat It marquee, we had a book signing with ethnobotanist, television presenter and garden designer James Wong, who also did a spot of cooking with one of Norfolk's (and the UKs) favourite chefs Richard Bambridge and a Q and A with cookery writer Mary Kemp.
