Has 2017 been a busy year for you?
It certainly has. With more toys, games and gifts to choose from than ever before we have all been busy at the North Pole for most of the year making sure that toy buyers in stores such as Jarrold have just the right mix of presents for all this Christmas.
And it’s set to get busier when you leave Jarrold on Christmas Eve isn’t it?
Yes, Christmas Eve is my busiest night of the year. Making sure that all the good girls and boys across the world get what they want under their tree or in their stocking on Christmas Day is no mean feat, especially as I need to wait until they are asleep before I drop by. Often I hear mum or dad reading Twas The Night Before Christmas to their children to lull them off to sleep. I can’t say I like the bit when my belly is supposed to shake like a bowl full of jelly!
What’s the strangest wish you have been asked for?
It was actually this year. A little girl asked me if she could get her mum a KitchenAid Artisan mixer as she wanted her mum to make her cakes! Infact, come to think of it, this might make a good gift for me - I do love the Great British Bake Off!
What will you be getting Mrs Claus for Christmas this year?
That’s a secret! But she does like the MAC Mineralize Rich lipstick in Be A Lady and the Tom Ford Black Orchid fragrance – and both are stocked at Jarrold so I might just buy these while I’m here!
What will you be doing on Christmas Day?
I get back home just as it’s getting light so after putting the reindeer to bed I have a little breakfast, take a nap and then in the evening we celebrate with a big feast. I like a sip of whisky or two in front of the TV (The English Whisky Company Chapter 15 is one of my favourites) and then we tend to play a game or build something in Lego. I have the Lego Creator Parisian Restaurant on my wish list so if I’ve been good we will probably build that.
Other than Lego, what else would you like for Christmas?
Haha well I would love a pair of the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus running shoes in black and red (of course!) as I need to work off all those mince pies in January. My New Year resolution is to take up art again. Mrs Claus loves her Decopatch and she has inspired me to paint again. I’ve heard that the Liquidtex Paint Markers are good for creating vivid works of art, and these will be great for capturing the night’s sky here at the North Pole. And finally I need a new suitcase for when Mrs Claus and I go away for a few days in the spring – I’ve spotted a Brics X Travel Cabin Case instore which is now top of my Christmas wish list!
