Carols with the King

For one night every December Elvis is in the building – well at The Forum to be precise – as we all put on our blue suede shoes for Carols with the King.

When it comes to raising money for charity, Jarrold colleagues, customers, friends and family are known for making it about a little less conversation and taking a little more action. None more so that at the annual Carols with the King, an event that sees local singers and entertainers, including Elvis and the Blue Sueders, take to the stage to get us all shook up.

Over 380 people enjoyed the fabulous show, which is now in its 10th year. Entertainer Olly Day was MC and entertained the crowds introducing sets by singer Dale Bullimore, Elvis and the Blue Sueders featuring The Broads, and a special set that saw Olly, Dale and Elvis perform a memorable rendition of My Way.

The entertainment didn’t stop there. Viva Las Vegas and three dancers performed with Elvis, and the audience was treated to a full set of Elvis songs with some other all-time favourites that had most people feeling the fever and dancing and singing along, proving that this was far from a Blue Christmas.

It’s thanks to everyone that came along to support this event that we raised over £2,500 for the Jarrold 250 Charity Initiative which supports The Princes Trust, The Big C and The EACH Nook appeal.
