Style Influences: with ITV's Alice Piper

It’s every girl’s idea of a day well spent.  I was invited to browse around the fantastic Jarrolds Norwich fashion department, on the look out for London Fashion Week inspired outfits. I was in my element! The great selection of brands Jarrolds has to offer meant I had lots to choose from when it came to reinventing a look.  Where to start? – that was the trickiest part! Having spent time looking through all the new trends displayed on the catwalk, my eyes were initially drawn towards pinks and nudes – colours I love to wear.

Look One: Vintage Romance

The classic and elegant styles of Nicole Fahri and Jasper Conran were the influences for my first look. I noticed a lot of lace on the catwalk, so I chose a gorgeous nude Ted Baker dress with lace detailing, the 'Aliana Lace dress.’ To contrast with the nude tones, I teamed the dress with an LK Bennett midnight blue clutch and matching heels. This added a nice shot of colour to the outfit.

Look Two: Reinventing the Jumpsuit

For my next London Fashion Week inspired outfit I wanted to try something different; a look I perhaps wouldn’t have tried had I not seen it modeled on the catwalk.  When I’m shopping for new clothes I’m guilty of being drawn to styles and designs I’m used to wearing, so it was great to explore something new. I’ve never owned a full-length jumpsuit but liked the idea of trying one on and found a fabulous navy blue jumpsuit in the Phase Eight section. I completed the look with Nine West suede shoe boots as I felt they were the perfect finishing touch to the outfit.

Look Three: "It's all about the details"

My third and final outfit was based on the styling influences of Richard Nicholl. The bold design at the front of the dress caught my eye and I was keen to find a dress that reinvented this look. This Ted Baker dress was the closest style to that of Richard Nicholl and I absolutely loved the detailing at the top. Again, I accessorised the look with the blue LK Bennett heels and clutch as I felt the two bold colours worked nicely together.
I really enjoyed experimenting with some new looks and trends and came away with lots of ideas. Us girls should do this more often!
