We're delighted to announce that the fabulous Florrie Dunn is our new Personal Stylist! We sat down with her to chat about all things fashion and upcoming trends for AW16.
What is your one go-to piece in your wardrobe at the moment?
My go-to piece in my wardrobe at the moment would have to be my trusty denim jeans, I find they just go with everything. You can dress them up and down for any occasion, you can wear different shades of denim to suit a certain top or colour. I love oversized shirts and jumpers at the moment which both go so well with jeans.
What is your favourite trend for Autumn/Winter 16 that you're loving at the moment?
My favourite trend for A/W 16 at the moment is definitely the capes, they’re so easy just to throw on and make an outfit look stylish. They are great for layering when it gets colder. All the rich autumnal colours that are about are lovely, especially in the roll neck jumpers and coats. Autumn is my favourite time of the year for clothes for sure!
What is your one fashion essential that you can't live with out?
The one fashion essential I can’t live without is my leather jacket, my black one is a classic and goes with everything on a casual day or over a dress for the evening, it is very versatile. I recently bought a burgundy one and I love it as it just gives a pop of colour to an outfit which a black one can’t do, so a coloured leather jacket is great with a plainer outfit.
What is your one fashion faux-pas that you regret?
My one fashion faux-pas that I regret would have to be when I bought a pair of multi coloured Aztec leggings, cringe! I love Aztec in a scarf or a jacket but not in leggings - that is a no go!
What's your favourite thing about being a stylist at Jarrolds?
My favourite thing about being a stylist is the rewarding feeling you get when a woman is very happy with an outfit or a selection of clothes I have picked out for her and they go away with something that they would never normally go for but its bought them out of their comfort zone which I think everyone needs to try.Who is your style icon?
Who is your style icon?
I wouldn’t say I have one style icon in particular, I get my inspiration from all sorts of women, also magazines and blogs they are great for advice, tips and what to wear with what each season.
