Ask the book buyer...about the books that will keep kids entertained over the Easter holidays

Spring has sprung! The blossom is out, the clocks have gone forward and we’re revelling in the extra evening light. For many of you, Spring also means the Easter school holidays are approaching and you will be looking for ideas to keep young minds occupied, so here are a few books that could just do the trick - plus an exciting competition - says Jarrold book buyer Holly Ainley.

Dear reader,

Spring has sprung! The blossom is out, the clocks have gone forward and we’re revelling in the extra evening light. For many of you, Spring also means the Easter school holidays are approaching and you will be looking for ideas to keep young minds occupied…

In the children’s book department we have plenty of activities to try: guess the number of chocolate eggs in the jar (closest guess wins the lot), hunt for hidden Easter eggs, try a Farmyard Tales activity sheet, plus we have a special opportunity for children to enter a Worst Witch colouring competition and win a family ticket to see The Worst Witch at Norwich Theatre Royal on April 20th!

We’ve also put together some of our top children’s book recommendations to provide readers young and old with inspiration over the Easter break. We look forward to seeing you and helping you choose some new books to read together.

Happy reading,

Holly
