I’m going for a quick and easy to apply look from MAC which will have staying power so I don’t need to be touching up every hour. Got to get my face prepped first though, and on a clean face I apply Time Check Lotion and Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion to even out skin tone, give me day-long moisture, and prime the skin for the makeup application.
I’m loving MAC’s new foundation Next to Nothing face colour for a sheer and luminous finish. It’s not heavy at all and feels so comfortable. The fabulous Pro Longwear concealer is perfect for covering any dark areas under the eyes and around the nose – it’s got 15 hour lasting power and is smudge and sweat proof too. A dusting of the new sheer Next to Nothing Pressed Powder is next, then for the contours Springsheen is my absolute favourite for a peachy powder blush with a hint of gold.
Eyes make the face and I’ll start by using Fling mechanical pencil to fill in my sketchy brows; Pro Longwear Vintage Selection paint pot on my lids; coffee pencil as my eyeliner and In Extreme Dimension Waterproof mascara to beat any tears from an easterly wind.
I’m going for a coral tone lipstick as it will complement my outfit for the day, but I’ll start with the Lip Conditioner to make sure they are in tip-top shape first. Lasting Sensation lip pencil ensures my lipstick doesn’t creep around my face and the beautiful Coral Bliss is my fave for the day.
I want to smell divine too, but this isn’t the time for an overpowering fragrance, so I’m going for Charlotte Tilbury’s divine Scent of a Dream – a perfect floral fragrance with just the right mix of flowers, fruit and wonderful Patchouli.
So all I need to slip in my bag is the lip liner, lipstick, powder and scent and I’m ready for the races!
