If Jarrold was a gin what would it be? For Jarrold, it’s fresh and citrusy with a hint of fruit. So they worked with award-winning gin experts St Giles to create a handcrafted gin using a delicate blend of botanicals and a hint of Norfolk raspberry. St Giles produces their gin in a custom-made copper still. Their slow and careful distillation process ensures that the delicious blends of flavours is retained within the spirit.

Based near Spixworth in Norfolk and enjoyed in Suffolk, St Giles Gin was set up after its founder, Simon Melton, had a dream about producing his own gin. As a professional diver, Simon has been on adventures to lots of unusual places around the world – and here he sampled a wide variety of delicious gins – so when he returned to Norfolk he decided to make his dream come true and develop his own gin. With the help of head distiller Pete Margree and a beautiful copper still that dream has finally been realised and St Giles makes a collection of different gins to suit different palettes.

Now another gin has been added to its portfolio, Jarrold Gin. Said Pete: “Jarrold wanted a fresh and citrusy gin but with a fruity taste, so we decided to add Norfolk raspberries to the list of botanicals that make up the recipe for the gin. Jarrold did not want the gin to be pink, so we used the right amount of raspberries to give the gin a hint of fruit, while retaining the clearness of the spirit.”

Serving suggestion: Enjoy with a splash of premium tonic and a slice of pink grapefruit, or with a fresh or frozen raspberry, a slice of lime and a sprig of fresh mint.
