Natalia Colman is an author, teacher and jewellery designer who has had a passion for jewellery all her life and uses it extensively in her fashion styling work. Natalia lives in West Yorkshire with her daughter Estella who is following in her footsteps as an avid jewellery maker. http://www.bynatalia.co.uk/ Anna Nikipirowicz was taught to knit and crochet as a child by her very talented mother, but without practice, the skills were quickly forgotten. In 2005 she rediscovered her skills and an obsession was born. In 2014 she started designing and selling her patterns. Her designs are regularly featured in craft magazines. Anna is also a workshop tutor, teaching knitting and crochet across the UK. Anna lives in Hertfordshire with her husband Dave and two cats, Ollie and Brick. She is a keen blogger and runs her website - www.moochka.co.uk - where she shares her love of knitting and crochet. After leaving school, Louise Firchau studied art and design, art history, illustration and typography, and enjoyed card making, glass painting and sketching. In 2000 she was inspired to start paper cutting, and in 2010 she started her own online company called Paper Panda, making typographical lyrical paper cuts from recycled paper. Since then Paper Panda has grown enormously and she now sells paper cuts and giftware in a range of distinctive styles. Louise has a huge following and has taught thousands of people to paper cut though online groups using her paper cutting starter kit, which she also sells from her on-line shop. Monica Russel is a best-selling Search Press author with over 95,000 books sold throughout the world. She runs a knitting business through her website www.theknitknacks.co.uk, and she designs all her own patterns and knitting kits, which use only natural fibres. She attends many craft and knitting fairs and has had numerous patterns featured in knitting magazines and books. Monica lives in East Sussex, UK. Aimee is a self-taught mosaicist who became obsessed with making mosaics in 1998. In 1999 she approached her local council to offer to mosaic a roundabout for free in Peacehaven, where she lives (images can be seen on her website at www.mosaicmadromans.com), and as a result of the publicity, a steward from the train took the newspaper article to the project manager. Before she knew it, she had been offered the job of restoring all the mosaics by the late Marjorie Knowles on The British Pullman Venice-Simplon Orient Express (the company has since changed hands and is now known as Belmond). Aimee still has the contract to restore and maintain the twelve mosaic floors each year with her colleague, Alex Bennison. Since this amazing opportunity she has received various commissions from the private and public sector, including designing and making eight mosaics for the sister train to the British-Pullman, The Belmond Northern Belle, based in Crewe. Three floors have been completed so far. Aimee attends Art in Action every summer at Waterperry in Oxford, teaching 3-5-year-olds to mosaic. She also teaches in schools around the country, arriving dressed as Minerva, the Roman goddess of Wisdom, Art and War, to inspire creativity in children - thus they remember Roman history through a real mosaic they have made and will keep for their lifetime. Aimee also runs her own web-based company, from which she produces and sells mosaic kits for children to English Heritage. If her new book has enticed you to try your hand at mosaics, you can also attend her one-day workshops, themed on the projects in the book, throughout this year. Contact her via www.mosaicmadromans.com Katrien proudly served her first cake at the age of 12 and knew then that she wanted to bake for a living. A self-proclaimed chocholic, she combined these two loves when baking her best friend's wedding cake. After completing a 4-year degree in home economics, she worked in the catering industry for several years, where she became involved in wedding planning and commercial baking for weddings and parties. After her own wedding seven years ago, she started working from home, marketing her original wedding and party cake designs from her website www.katrienscakes.co.za. Katrien lives in Cape Town, South Africa. Alistair Macdonald studied fashion design at Central St Martins School of Art and Design in London and set up his own womenswear label, House of Alistair, in 2008. Myra trained in Textile Art and Dress & Textile Design with Education at Ilkley College (University of Bradford, W. Yorks) and spent several years teaching and developing her textile skills, often combining the two. She left teaching in 2003 to explore and develop her work as a textile artist, fusing natural fibres, hand dyed fabrics, and embellished hand-made felt to create rich landscapes, sunsets or seascapes. Most recently, she has combined her felt and illustrative style to produce smaller pieces and 'wearable art'. Myra has exhibited at numerous shows, including Landmark Arts Contemporary Textile Fair, Craft @ Top Drawer and as an invited demonstrator for three years in the Specialists Craft & Design Marquee at Living Crafts Hatfield House and at their last show at Blenheim Palace. She will be showing at Ideal Homes Glasgow this May having been 'spotted' at Hatfield House. Myra has exhibited in several galleries and her work has ended up in private collections throughout the UK and the rest of Europe, America & New Zealand. She gives talks and demonstrations, runs workshops for children and adults, and is a visiting artist to local schools working on bespoke creative textile projects. Myra has a strong online presence, with her own website, Facebook and Twitter accounts. Myra lives in Milton Keynes. Lorna Fleming has always loved baking and cooking.
