Jarrolds is a popular city centre department store with five food outlets to their food and beverage. The five outlets cover a wide range from a 250 seat self service restaurant to a 70 seater Bistro with complete table service. All food is produced in house using fresh local produce, where possible.
We are looking to recruit a confident individual to join us as our Junior Sous Chef as we open our new and exciting restaurant.
A Junior Sous Chef operates as the assistant to a Sous Chef and is responsible for assisting in overseeing and directing all aspects of the operation of the kitchen and in providing functional assistance, coordinating activities and functions with other head in the food and beverage department, especially in the absence of the Head Chef.
The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation, storing, and service delivery to customers in their establishment. They will be at liberty to delegate tasks to other kitchen staff in effectiveness in delivery.
