We celebrated our refurbished and extended Beauty Hall on 1st October with a VIP reception for the beauty industry and media partners, followed by an evening of fun and fizz for 500 plus invited guests. A pink carpet, pink floodlighting and pink interior decorations also launched Pink October – a month of fundraising throughout the store for the Estée Lauder Breast Cancer Awareness campaign; Look Good Feel Better; and Keeping Abreast, a local charity. We introduced several new and exclusive new brands, including Jo Malone London, Tom Ford Private Blend Collection with Lips and Nails, and Stila, as well as many new niche fragrance brands including Balenciaga, Serge Lutens, Terry de Gunzburg, and Rancé into their atmospheric new Fine Fragrance Hall. Everything was sparkling from the pink champagne to the crystal chandeliers!
Michelle Jarrold said that the glamour-filled evening was the ideal way in which to unveil the store’s new-look ground floor. “We were absolutely delighted with the response on the night to our new Beauty Hall, and the launch of Pink October. Staff and customers alike had fun wearing a hint of pink and 500 guests enjoyed a fabulous evening of Beauty and treats, plus the chance to try out our new brands whilst raising money and awareness for 3 great cancer related causes. We were overwhelmed with the positive feedback for the new-look larger department from suppliers and guests.”
