 NELSON'S JOURNEY  - BRINGING BACK SMILES

Jarrold Retail is delighted to announce its support of Nelson's Journey.

This wonderful local charity, set up in 1998, supports children between the ages of 6 and 17 years who have lost parents, siblings or other close relatives. It comforts and counsels children to come to terms with their loss and to help them cope. Weekends away at local activity centres with other children in a similar situation, help them share their grief and realise that they are not alone.

We hope you will support our special charity events,  and donate any money you can spare in the collecting tins around the store.

Jarrold fund raising activities:

The charity's mascot is Nelson the teddy bear. As part of our fund raising campaign, Jarrold staff can 'borrow' Nelson for a fee and take him on their travels. Nelson will be photographed on his adventures and at the end of the year, Peter Mitchell, Managing Director will chose his favourite snapshot.

So far Nelson has joined the RAF Falcons for a parachute free fall at the Royal Norfolk Show, boogied the night away at Blickling Hall's 80's night and joined 'Elvis' at Trafalgar Square!

Nelson has also enjoyed a day of glamour at a fund raising beauty event, held in store on July 27th.
