We are delighted to invite you to an Evening with Ruby Wax on Monday 11 January 2016 at 6.30pm. Ruby will be talking about her new book 'Frazzled' and will be in conversation with Thordis Fridriksson from BBC Radio Norfolk.

About the Book:

‘Five hundred years ago no-one died of stress: we have invented this concept and now we let it rule us, not to mention frazzle us’

90% of people seeking medical care are doing so because of stress-related disorders and the World Health Organization predicts that the biggest cause of death in 2020 will be stress.

In FRAZZLED, Ruby Wax shows us how to beat this with a scientific solution to this modern problem: mindfulness.

Outrageously witty, smart and accessible, Ruby Wax shows ordinary people how and why to change for good. With mindfulness advice for relationships, for parents, for children and for teenagers and a six-week course based on her studies of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy with Mark Williams at Oxford University, A Mindfulness Guide for the Frazzled is the only guide you need for a healthier, happier life.

About the Author:

Arriving in Britain from the United States in 1977, Ruby Wax began her acting career with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She went on to write and perform in her own hugely popular television programmes, and was Script Editor on all series of Absolutely Fabulous. Since then, Ruby has campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness about mental health issues, including speaking at Downing Street to raise money for neuroscience research. In 2013, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy from Oxford University to increase her understanding of the brain and used this knowledge as the basis for Sane New World: Taming the Mind, which became a Sunday Times number one bestseller.
