This romantic blue pattern proved to be the most popular during the Victorian era. Burgess Chintz is a delicate blue chintz flowered pattern dating from the early 1900's influenced by the wild geranium. Blue Calico, Burleigh's famous deep cobalt blue pattern was derived from early Victorian designs which in turn had roots in Chinese porcelain; the deep cobalt blue print representing fallen prunus blossom onto cracked ice.
