You can imagine the delicate Lily of the Valley bells swaying in a woodland glade, rivers and trees nearby, under a clear blue sky. This is classic Lily of the Valley but its interpretation by Penhaligon’s is strikingly modern. On some skins it develops a grassy hay-like quality, on others it is strikingly ‘white’, peppery and very elegant.
Forever associated with the month of May, in the language of flowers it symbolises the return of happiness.
