Bioeffect

Bioeffect anti ageing skin care products started life in 2001 when three scientists formed a biotechnology company to produce purer human-like proteins for medical research and medicine.

Soon afterwards they discovered a new way of producing pure, endotoxin- and animal-free human-like growth factors in barley seeds, and within a few years it had sparked interest among the large cosmetic firms to use their cellular activator in skin care products.

Bioeffect EGF Serum, launched in Iceland, was the first skin care product to contain cellular activators made in plants, and within a year it was used by 25% of Icelandic women.
